The Canal Society hosts regular events at the Samuel Center for Canal History (formerly St. Johns Church) at 36 Rochester St in Port Byron, NY. Upcoming events include:
Monday, September 26 - Doug's To Go fundraiser 11am-6pm in the parking lot
Saturday, October 8 - "Path to Freedom: The Eliza Story" - 2pm and 7pm, free admission* - a reenactment of the life story of a runaway slave.
Saturday, October 15 - "The Remarkable, Irresistible Erie" - 2pm, free admission* - 90-minute musical concert presenting songs and stories of the people, places, and history of the original and enlarged Erie Canal
Monday, November 14 - Doug's To Go fundraiser 11am-6pm in the parking lot
